TLILIC0003 - Licence to operate a forklift truck
Now training in Cairns AND Atherton! This nationally recognised High Risk Work Licence course provides participants with the skills and knowledge to safely operate a powered industrial forklift truck equipped with a mast and an elevating load carriage with fork arms or other attachment.

Course Outline
- Forklift safety legislation and compliance requirements
- Pre-operational checks and maintenance
- Planning and preparing for forklift operations
- Operating the forklift safely including driving, steering, and manoeuvring
- Load handling - picking up, carrying, stacking and de-stacking loads
- Loading and unloading vehicles
- Hazard identification and risk management
- Emergency procedures
- Post-operational procedures and shutdown
Assessment type: Theory and Practical (including a practical driving assessment)
On successful completion you will receive a Statement of Attainment and can apply for your High Risk Work Licence through Workplace Health and Safety Queensland.
Prerequisites
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Proficient in English
- Able to pass a literacy and numeracy assessment
What to Bring
- Photo ID (Driver's Licence, Passport or Proof of Age card)
- Closed in steel-capped footwear
- High-visibility clothing
- Lunch, water and sun protection
