LR Bus/Truck Licence
LR - Light Rigid
Drive a truck, van or a bus over 4.5t GVM but equal/less than 8t GVM, or over 4.0t GVM but equal/less than 8t GVM with a maximum of 2 axles. You may carry more than 12 seated adults (including yourself).
Eligibility
Hold your car licence (min. Red Plates) for a period of 12 months before upgrading to LR/MR licence. Complete the Heavy Vehicle theory test with Qld Transport, which can be done on the day of your practical driving test.

Medical Conditions
If you have any of the following conditions you will need to obtain a medical certificate stating you are OK to drive for the class of licence you are applying for before starting any training: blackouts, diabetes, eye or vision problems, heart disease, neurological conditions (dementia, stroke, seizures or epilepsy), psychiatric disorders, sleep disorders, alcohol or drug dependency.
